Rosanne Cash Recovering After Brain Surgery

Wednesday, December 12, 2007

NEW YORK —  Singer-songwriter Rosanne Cash is recovering after undergoing brain surgery.

Cash's publicist says the daughter of the late Johnny Cash had surgery on Nov. 27 at New York's Presbyterian Hospital and is recovering at her home in New York City.

The surgery was to correct a structural problem caused by a rare but benign condition.

The 52-year-old Cash is expected to make a full recovery and resume recording early next year. She also plans to resume her live performance schedule in the spring and complete a new book in early 2009.

Her album "Black Cadillac" received a Grammy nomination.
