Report: Tiger Woods' Wife Wins Damages for Fake Nude Photos

Friday, December 07, 2007

Tiger Woods' wife Elin Nordegren Woods will receive "substantial" damages from an Irish magazine that published fake nude photos of the former model in an article, according to Reuters.

"The story was cheap, tasteless and deliberately offensive," said Trevor White, publisher of The Dubliner, according to Nordegren's statement.

Elin, 27, also said in her statement that the photographs "caused great personal distress to me and my family," Reuters reported.

Nordegren did not reveal how much she is expected to receive in damages, but a source told Reuters that The Dubliner is expected to pay $182,000 over a two-year period.

Elin reportedly said the money will be donated to cancer charities.
