Coming Up on 'FOX News Sunday': Karl Rove, Rep. Chris Van Hollen and Fred Smith

Friday, November 30, 2007

Our exclusive guests this week:

• Karl Rove, former deputy chief of staff to President Bush
• Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., DCCC chairman
• Fred Smith, founder and CEO of FedEx

One month before the first caucuses in Iowa, "FOX News Sunday" hosts a lively, fair and balanced debate with two major players in campaign politics:

Known as the architect behind two Bush presidential victories we have Karl Rove, the president’s former deputy chief of staff. From the other side: the Chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Congressman Chris Van Hollen. We’ll examine the key issues on every voter’s mind as they head to the polls and debate which party is best to lead the country.

Then, we continue our new series “American Leaders.” We’re expanding the conversation on Sunday morning talk shows beyond the Beltway to discuss a wider range of issues. Not just what is going on in Washington politics, but also what is going on around the country, with top business, social and cultural figures. We continue our discussion this week with the founder and CEO of FedEx, Fred Smith.

Our panel will discuss the frontrunners facing trouble this week: former Mayor Rudy Giuliani defends spending on his mayoral security and former President Bill Clinton claims he opposed the Iraq war from the beginning, grabbing the spotlight from Hillary. How will this impact the campaign and the candidates’ status heading into the primaries? Joining us will be Fred Barnes of the Weekly Standard, Mara Liasson of National Public Radio, Bill Kristol of the Weekly Standard and Nina Easton of Fortune Magazine.

Plus, our Power Player of the week: Director of the National Gallery of Art, Earl “Rusty” Powell who holds some of America’s greatest treasures.

So check your local listings and we'll see you on the next "FOX News Sunday."
