A Sixth Flu Vaccine Approved by FDA

WASHINGTON —  WASHINGTON — The government approved a new flu vaccine for adults Friday, bringing to six the number of seasonal influenza manufacturers licensed for the U.S. market.

CSL Limited, of Parkville, Australia, anticipates making 2 million doses of its vaccine, called Afluria, available to the U.S. market. Those shots are among the record supply of 132 million doses expected over the coming flu season.
