Michael Moore Says Bush Administration Has Served Him With Subpoena

Filmmaker Michael Moore told Jay Leno on Thursday that the Bush administration has served him with a subpoena for going to Cuba to film parts of his newest movie, "Sicko."
Moore, who made an appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," said he found out about the subpoena while working at his network's studios in Burbank, Calif.
"I haven't even told my own family yet," Moore told Leno. "I was just informed when I was back there with Jay that the Bush administration has now issued a subpoena for me."
Moore flew to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, with three emergency rescue workers suffering from illnesses contracted during the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center to compare the U.S. healthcare system with government-funded healthcare systems in other countries.
He said he "heard the Al Qaeda terrorists ... are receiving free dental, medical, eye care, the whole deal, and our own rescue workers can't get that in New York City."
Moore said the film's distributor, the Weinstein Co., will donate 11 percent of "Sicko's" box-office receipts to "help these workers and the other workers who need help."
