Topps Digitally Inserts President Bush, Mickey Mantle Into Derek Jeter Baseball Card

Mr. November has a lot of fans, but the ones that appeared in the background of his latest trading card had to be given a little bit of digital persuading.

The 2007 edition of the New York Yankees' Derek Jeter's card has a smiling President Bush in the stands and a resurrected Mickey Mantle in the dugout, the New York Daily News reported.

Topps editors say a prankster slipped the imaginative imaging in somewhere between the final proofing and printing. Hobbyists are known for searching out cards with minor errors and misprints, and the industry has a long history of shenanigans. Although the phony card has had Internet message boards buzzing with talk of conspiracy theirs and viral marketing schemes, Jeter told the New York Daily News that he wasn't in on the prank.

"Oh yeah? I haven't heard anything about it. I have no idea," the shortstop said.
