Wednesday, January 31, 2007

PHOENIX, Ariz. —  An Amber Alert issued early Monday morning for a 1-year-old Mesa youngster has been canceled.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said little Isidro Ramirez and his mother, 19-year-old Noemi Ramirez, were located about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning in Blythe, Calif., by the Riverside County Sheriff's Office. Maricopa County sheriff's Lt. Paul Chagolla said both were found in good condition and Ramirez has been in contact with her family.

An Amber Alert for the baby was issued by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office after a witness reported that Ramirez and the baby were forced into a vehicle outside their home about 4:30 a.m. Monday. The witness said Ramirez yelled that she was being taken to California.
