Reports: Britney Spears Has a New Man

Tuesday, December 12, 2006

Britney Spears appears to have a new man — and the New York Post's Page Six gossip column thinks he looks just like Jonathan "J.R." Rotem — a multiplatinum music producer who has worked with Rihanna, 50 Cent, Paris Hilton and Spears' soon-to-be ex-husband, Kevin Federline.

Page Six says the two were caught on a date in Hollywood after weeks of buzz around Los Angeles that they'd hooked up. They were spotted kissing in public Sunday night and ended up going to see a movie before heading back to Rotem's place, the column says.

Monday night, the entertainment program “EXTRA” showed footage of Spears at The Grove, an outdoor shopping center in Los Angeles, with a new man by her side.

"EXTRA" says the couple saw “The Holiday” and then headed to the restaurant The 3rd Stop, where Spears sat on his lap and the duo made out in a corner table.

And blogger Perez Hilton has photos on his Web site of Spears spending time with a mystery man in Los Angeles on Sunday.

In one photo, the pair appears to exchange a public kiss while Spears is holding a cigarette.

Spears has been swirling in controversy ever since "commando" photos of the star going without panties appeared on the Internet.

Last week, Spears responded to the scandal, asking fans to understand that babymaking has prevented her from partying with pals and thanking God for "Victoria's Secrets' (sic) new underwear line."

Spears, who turned 25 on Dec. 2, filed for divorce from aspiring rapper Federline last month after two years of marriage. She and Federline have a 1-year-old son, Sean Preston, and an infant son, Jayden James, who was born Sept. 12. Spears is seeking custody of both children, with visitation rights for Federline.
