NEW YORK  — 

Britney Spears has given the world its first glimpse of her baby boy.

The pop star appears with infant Sean Preston and husband Kevin Federline on the cover of the latest issue of People magazine, on newsstands Friday.

The headline proclaims: "Baby LOVE!"

Spears says she's "ecstatic" about being a mom and most enjoys "taking an afternoon nap in bed" with her 9-week-old son.

Photos of Spears, Federline and their baby were published online last month, but were taken down within hours after Spears' record label, Jive Records, issued a statement threatening legal action.

The photos were allegedly stolen from a private photo session. The photos in People magazine are from that shoot, making them over a month old.

Sean Preston is the first child for Spears, 24. Federline, 27, has two children with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson.

Spears is reportedly interested in starring in the Broadway musical, "Sweet Charity," but neither Spears nor the show's producers have confirmed they are in talks.
