Thursday, March 10, 2005

BRUSSELS, Belgium —  Police vehicles took up position around a Lufthansa (search) airliner and several people were seen entering the plane early Friday as Iranian pro-monarchists continued a 13-hour protest.

The plane was parked at Brussels international airport (search), as police trucks and at least two buses and two fire fighter trucks took up position alongside.

The group of 59 unarmed Iranian pro-monarchist protesters were entering their second day of a sit-in calling for the overthrow of the Iranian government.
