Sharon Osbourne Making Movie of Her Life

Thursday, January 13, 2005

"Osbournes" (search) matriarch Sharon Osbourne (search) is turning her life into a movie.

Sharon, who's famously married to addled rocker Ozzy Osbourne (search) and oversees the raucous Osbourne clan, is shopping the movie — and wants daughter Kelly to play her as a young woman, according to Britain's Sky News.

"It has great potential, but it will be hard to cast someone to play Ozzy," Sharon told sources. "He is rather unique, you see, and it will take a big man to fill those shoes."

She hopes to have the movie cast and filming under way by the spring, according to the report.

Sharon and Ozzy recently returned for their final season of MTV's "The Osbournes," which also features Kelly, son Jack and a menagerie of pets.

Sharon's short-lived talk show, "The Sharon Osbourne Show," was canceled last year after one season.

She and "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell are planning to produce a single that would benefit victims of the Dec. 26 tsunami in southeast Asia.

The single is planned to be a remake of Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven" and will reportedly feature Elton John, Gwen Stefani — and Ozzy.
