American Embassy Worker Murdered

BAGHDAD, Iraq — The U.S. Embassy reports another civilian death in Iraq (search).
It says the man was killed in an attack in Baghdad Wednesday while traveling in a vehicle outside the protected Green Zone (search). It's withholding his identity until his relatives are notified. The Embassy says he was not a State Department (search) staffer but was working for the U.S. in Baghdad.
A spokesman says "Our strongest condolences go out to the family," adding that Thanksgiving is not the best time to hear such news.
