Olympics Update: Saturday Results

SCHINIAS, Greece  —  Highlights from Saturday's events at the Olympic Games:

— German Katrin Rutschow-Stomporowski (search) won the gold in single sculls with a time of 7:18.12. Ekaterina Karsten-Khodotovitch of Belarus took the silver. Rumyana Neykova of Bulgaria took bronze.

— Romanians Viorica Susanu and Georgeta Damian won the gold medal Saturday in women's coxless pairs in a time of 7:06.56. Britain won the silver and Bulgaria got the bronze.

Australians Drew Ginn and James Tomkins won the gold medal Saturday in coxless pairs with a time of 6:30.76. Croatia got the silver medal. South Africa won the bronze.

— Georgina and Caroline Evers-Swindell of New Zealand won the gold medal Saturday in double sculls with a time of 7:01.71. Germany took the silver medal. Britain got the bronze.

— Sebastien Vieilledent and Adrien Hardy of France won the gold medal Saturday in double sculls in a time of 6:29. Slovenia took the silver, and Italy got the bronze.
