Report: Four Americans, Two Italians Kidnapped

BAGHDAD, Iraq —  Iraqi rebels claimed Friday to have kidnapped four American and two Italians, according to wire reports.

A Reuters journalist was taken to a mosque in the Abu Ghraib section of western Baghdad to see two captive foreigners, who their captors said were Italians.

One of the detainees had been shot in the shoulder, the reporter said, and both were weeping.

The hostage-takers said they'd captured the Italians after stopping a four-wheel-drive vehicle with weapons in it.  They said the kidnapped the Americans separately.

Fox News could not immediately confirm the report.
