Soldier Killed by Roadside Bomb in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Iraq  —  An American soldier was killed and a second was wounded Tuesday when a roadside bomb (search) exploded during an operation to clear such weapons, the U.S. military said.

The explosion occurred near Iskandariyah (search), 35 miles south Baghdad, the statement said.
