New Saddam Photos Fascinate Iraqis

Iraqis can't get enough news about their former dictator turned U.S. prisoner of war (search).

New pictures of Saddam Hussein (search) allegedly taken shortly after his capture were splashed Thursday on the cover of many Iraqi newspapers.

In the photos, Saddam looks tattered and decidedly unkempt.

The authenticity of the pictures has not been confirmed. They originally appeared on the U.S. military's unofficial Web site.
