Minnesota Timberwolves first-round pick Justin Patton underwent successful foot surgery to repair a broken fifth metatarsal, the team announced Tuesday.
Patton, who suffered the injury in a workout, will not play in the upcoming NBA Summer League. He will be sidelined indefinitely.
The Creighton product was selected 16th overall and was a part of the trade that sent Jimmy Butler to Minnesota.
