Umag, Croatia (Sports Network) - Second-seeded Alexandr Dolgopolov beat fourth-seeded Marin Cilic in three sets Sunday to win the Croatia Open. Dolgopolov earned a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 victory and picked up the first ATP title of his career. He appeared in the Costa Do Sauipe final in February but fell to Nicolas Almagro. Dolgopolov, a native of the Ukraine, knocked off reigning champion Juan Carlos Ferrero, 6-4, 6-4, in the semifinals Saturday. Crowd favorite Cilic, who became the first Croat to reach the final at this event since 1990, took down sixth-seeded Fabio Fognini 6-2, 6-2 Saturday to land in the finals.
