Estoril, Portugal (Sports Network) - Juan Martin del Potro won his second title of the season with a straight-sets victory against Fernando Verdasco in the final of the Estoril Open.
The eighth-seeded del Potro needed about 75 minutes to record the 6-2, 6-2 victory. The Argentine won 69 percent of his service points and recorded five breaks of the Spanish Verdasco. Verdasco won only 43 percent of points on serve against the lanky former U.S. Open winner.
Del Potro, who titled at Delray Beach in February, captured his ninth career championship and pocketed $105,000 for the win.
Verdasco dropped his second final of 2011, having lost to Milos Raonic in San Jose in February.
