Buenos Aires, Argentina (Sports Network) - Top-seeded Nicolas Almagro of Spain topped Argentinian Juan Ignacio Chela in the final of the $547,900 Copa Claro tennis event.
Almagro edged Chela, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4, in just over two hours to win his second title in back-to-back weeks, a career first. Almagro defeated Alexandr Dolgopolov in Costa Do Sauipe last week.
"The key game was at 3-3 of the third set because I broke him the game before with great tennis but I couldn't keep it up," Chela said.
This was the seventh meeting between these two, and Almagro has won the last four matches. He now has nine ATP title in his career.
"I'm very happy after winning here and I hope it won't just be nine titles in my career but a lot more," Almagro said.
