Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Second-seeded American Sam Querrey cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 win over Lithuanian qualifier Ricardas Berankis to reclaim the Farmers Classic on Sunday.
The 24-year-old Querrey also won this event in 2009 and 2010, but missed last year's tournament due to right elbow surgery.
"I feel like I always play well here," Querrey said. "I grew up kind of playing around this area and I?m really comfortable out there on the courts. It?s fun to play in front of my friends and family. It all came together this week, and especially today."
He fired eight aces and won 5-of-7 break points in the match, which lasted just 51 minutes.
The 22-year-old Berankis, ranked No. 141 in the world, defeated sixth-seeded Marinko Matosevic of Australia 7-5, 6-1 in the semifinals to reach the final.
With the victory, Querrey took home $100,650.
