Insight: Perry is a must start when the season begins, but not until then. He's posted as many as 98 points in a season (2010) and should be good for at least 30 goals in 2013-14.

Insight: Perry is the only player in the NHL to reach the coveted 50-goal mark and did so for the first time in his career. He didn't lead the NHL in goals for most of the season, but he passed league leaders Steven Stamkos and Daniel Sedin with his late surge of 19 goals in his last 16 games.

Insight: Ryan Getzlaf assisted on all three of Perry's goals and recorded a total of four assists in this game. Perry's third goal of the game made him the first player (and quite possibly the only player this season) to reach the elusive 50-goal mark. Now six goals clear of Steven Stamkos, Perry has all but officially claimed the Rocket Richard Trophy as the league's top goal scorer. His name also has to be in the mix for the Hart Trophy as the league's most valuable player.
