Description: Brent Johnson allowed seven goals while fighting Islanders enforcer Micheal Haley in a fight-filled game on Friday. TSN
Insight: Johnson was pulled early in the second period after the Islanders ran up the score to 6-0. He returned to start the third period and challenged Haley to a fight by skating out to the blueline. To protect Johnson, teammate Eric Godard jumped off the bench, a decision that will probably result in a suspension for Godard. Hopefully you didn't have Johnson in your lineup on Friday, as the Islanders were out for revenge for Johnson's one-punch of Rick DiPietro that resulted in a facial injury to the Isles' goalie just over a week ago.

Description: Johnson stopped all 20 shots he faced in Wednesday night's 3-0 win but missed the shutout by skating down the ice to punch out Islanders goalie Rick DiPietro with 16.5 seconds left.
Insight: Unless you happened to start Johnson last night, it was a pretty awesome highlight -- especially the incredulous reaction from fellow Pens goalie Marc-Andre Fleury. Oh, and by the way, Johnson has allowed just four total goals over his past four appearances. (

Description: Brent Johnson stopped all 20 shots he faced in the Penguins' 3-0 shutout over the Islanders on Wednesday. However, Johnson will not receive a shutout because of a game misconduct he received with 17 seconds to play. Pittsburgh Penguins
Insight: Johnson responded to Isles goalie Rick DiPietro whacking Matt Cooke, who skated in front of the Isles' goalie's crease. While a melee was occuring at the other end of the ice, Johnson skated out to meet DiPietro at center ice, where the two agreed to fight before Johnson clocked DiPietro. Marc-Andre Fleury had to play the final 17 seconds of the game, since Johnson received a game misconduct. The Penguins will receive a team shutout, but Johnson will not receive a shutout for his fantasy owners since he did not complete the game. At least Johnson receives the win, though.

Description: Brent Johnson left Wednesday's game against Florida after the second intermission with a groin injury. Yahoo Sports
Insight: Johnson stopped 20 of 21 shots before being forced to leave the game. He won't likely dress for the Penguins' game on Thursday against Washington, so expect Marc-Andre Fleury to start the game against their Winter Classic rivals.

Description: Johnson entered the third period with a 4-2 lead against Boston Wednesday night but then allowed four goals before an empty-netter finished the 7-4 Bruins victory.

Description: Johnson saved 22 of 23 shots after replacing Marc-Andre Fleury in Saturday night's overtime win.
Insight: Johnson's save percentage and goals against average each rank fifth in the league. That combined with the struggles of Fleury could start to earn him a bigger cut of the playing time. (

Description: Brent Johnson made 32 saves in the Penguins' 5-2 win over Ottawa on Monday. TSN
Insight: With the win, Johnson is now 4-0. Coincidentally, appointed starting goalie Marc-Andre Fleury is 0-3. Could there be a goaltending controversy in Pittsburgh? Take a flier on Johnson if he's available, just in case he can keep up this pace for awhile.
