Description: Calgary netminder Miikka Kiprusoff was pulled after allowing six goals in 48 minutes to the Kings Saturday night.
Insight: Kiprusoff has allowed 10 goals on just 46 shots over his last two games and has a 3.43 GAA on the season. He's been a major disappointment after winning 35 games with a 2.35 GAA last season.

3/6/2013 2:50:00 PM
Description: Calgary netminder Miikka Kiprusoff is expected to return from his sprained MCL on Wednesday, according to coach Bob Hartley.
Insight: Kiprusoff has played just seven games this season with a 2-3-2 record, 3.24 GAA and 0.870 save percentage. Not great, but he was excellent in 2011 and fantasy owners should expect him to return to that level of production (35-22-9, 2.35 GAA, .921 save percentage).

2/12/2013 3:08:00 PM
Description: Calgary netminder Miikka Kiprusoff will miss at least two more weeks with a grade-2 sprain of his MCL, according to the Flames' official Twitter page.
Insight: That means another two weeks of starts for Leland Irving, who is 1-1-1 with a 2.62 GAA in four appearances this season.

2/8/2013 9:48:00 PM
Description: Calgary netminder Miikka Kiprusoff has been put on injured reserve.
Insight: He suffered a lower-body injury earlier in the week. Kiprusoff is now required to miss at least the next two games. Expect to see Leland Irving between the pipes Saturday against Vancouver.

Description: Flames goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff left Tuesday's game with a lower-body injury. SOURCE: Elliotte Friedman, CBC.ca

2/5/2013 5:47:00 PM
Description: Flames goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff will try to build off a shootout loss Saturday against Chicago when he takes on Detroit Tuesday.
Insight: Kiprusoff saved 17 of 19 shots in 65 minutes before losing in the shootout for his second overtime loss of the season. Kiprusoff has given up three or more goals in four of six starts and doesn't make for a good play Tuesday in Detroit.

1/26/2013 9:02:00 PM
Description: Miikka Kiprusoff will get the start in the crease Saturday when the Flames face Edmonton. SOURCE: sportsnet.ca
Insight: Kiprusoff has been under fire so far, facing 89 shots in three games and allowing 11 goals. He won 35 games with a 2.35 GAA and .921 SV% last season and rarely gets a night off so obviously fantasy owners should hang onto him.

12/11/2011 3:30:00 AM
Description: Miikka Kiprusoff stopped all 21 shots he faced in the Flames' 3-0 win over Edmonton on Saturday. TSN
Insight: Kipper is currently a must-start in fantasy leagues, as he is on a three-game win streak and has won six of his last eight games. The Flames are also surprisingly hot with a 6-1-1 record over the last eight games.

11/2/2011 12:14:00 AM
Description: Miikka Kiprusoff was pulled after two periods on Tuesday against Vancouver after allowing five goals on 18 shots. Yahoo Sports
Insight: This game could hardly be blamed on Kiprusoff, as his defense gave him little support and the Canucks took full advantage of power plays. Kipper has otherwise been an asset for fantasy teams, recording a 2.02 GAA and .930 SV% entering this game. However, it won't get any easier, as the Flames travel to Detroit for their next game on Thursday.

3/5/2011 12:53:00 AM
Description: Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 37 of 40 shots he faced in the Flames' 4-3 win over Columbus on Friday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: Kiprusoff had to earn his 30th win of the season the hard way, as he stopped penalty shots from both Matt Calvert and Antoine Vermette. Kipper is all about winning, as he has now reached 30 wins in six consecutive seasons.

3/2/2011 12:55:00 AM
Description: Miikka Kiprusoff stopped all 25 shots he faced in the Flames' 6-0 win over St. Louis on Tuesday. TSN
Insight: Kiprusoff posted his second consecutive shutout, both against the Blues. The interesting stat out of all of this is that before the Blues faced the Flames on Sunday, they had gone 110 consecutive games without being shut out - the longest streak in the NHL. Kiprusoff, who was making his 17th consecutive start, has been a Blues killer with a 0.34 GAA this season and an 18-5-2 all-time record against St. Lou.

2/28/2011 12:47:00 AM
Description: Miikka Kiprusoff stopped all 27 shots he faced in the Flames' 1-0 win over St. Louis on Sunday. TSN
Insight: Kipper's shutout was his fifth of the season and the 39th of his career. He also happened to be making his 16th consecutive start, so the Flames are back to starting him in just about every game. In total, he has started 55 of the team's 64 games.

2/22/2011 10:04:00 AM
Description: Kiprusoff stopped all 39 Canadiens shots Sunday for his fourth shutout of the season.
Insight: Kiprusoff has won three straight, allowing just three total goals in that stretch. (RapidDraft.com)

2/20/2011 10:04:00 PM
Description: Miikka Kiprusoff stopped all 39 shots he faced in the Flames' 4-0 win over Montreal at the Heritage Classic outdoor game on Sunday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: Kiprusoff pitched the first-ever shutout at an outdoor game since the concept began with the original Heritage Classic in Edmonton in 2003. After sitting in 14th place in Western Conference for over a month, the Flames are one of the league's hottest teams, and Kipper is one player who has benefitted. He has won 10 of his last 13 games, although this shutout was his first since November 29. Start him with confidence right now.
