Description: Texans receiver Andre Johnson produces solid game.
Insight: He just keeps doing what he does. Johnson had six catches for 71 yards, on seven targets. He has yet to find the end zone in 2014, but that should come soon. Consider Johnson a WR2.

Description: Texans receiver Andre Johnson (hamstring) has shown no signs of rust so far, according to cbssports.com.
Insight: Johnson sat out OTAs and minicamp because he wanted to be traded and he missed the early portion of training camp with a hamstring injury. We have confidence in his ability to build a rapport with new QB Ryan Fitzpatrick and learn Bill O'Brien's offensive scheme quickly. He had 109 catches, 1,407 yards and five touchdowns on 181 targets last season despite having to catch passes from Matt Schaub and Case Keenum.

Description: Texans receiver Andre Johnson (hamstring) returned to practice Wednesday, according to Dave Zangaro of csnhouston.com. He's questionable for the team's second preseason contest.
Insight: Johnson pulled his right hamstring at the end of July and missed the first preseason game. The 33-year-old has played 16 games in back-to-back seasons after sitting out 12 across 2010 and 2011. It's good to see him back on the field so he can build a rapport with Ryan Fitzpatrick and become more familiar with Bill O'Brien's offensive system after he skipped OTAs and minicamp.

Description: Texans receiver Andre Johnson (hamstring) could be back in the team's second preseason game, according to houstontexans.com.
Insight: Johnson pulled his right hamstring at the end of July and hasn't practiced. The 33-year-old has played 16 games in back-to-back seasons after sitting out 12 across 2010 and 2011. We'd like him to get back on the field so he can build a rapport with Ryan Fitzpatrick and become more familiar with Bill O'Brien's offensive system after he skipped OTAs and minicamp.

Description: Texans receiver Andre Johnson (hamstring) isn't expected to play in the preseason opener, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.
Insight: Johnson pulled his right hamstring last Monday and hasn't returned to practice yet. The 33-year-old has played 16 games in back-to-back seasons after sitting out 12 across 2010 and 2011.

7/25/2014 11:20:00 AM
Description: Texans receiver Andre Johnson reported to training camp Friday after talking with management during the week, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.
Insight: Johnson (109 catches, 1,407 yards, five touchdowns in 2013) had wanted out of Houston, but that doesn't appear to be an option. On the downside of his career, he's still a WR1.

7/10/2014 3:13:00 PM
Description: Texans receiver Andre Johnson wants out of Houston, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Insight: Johnson (109 catches, 1,407 yards, five touchdowns in 2013) posted another good season despite the obvious problems the team had at quarterback last season and at 33-years-old apparently doesn't want to go through a rebuilding period.

7/9/2014 8:09:00 PM
Description: When asked if he'll be at training camp, Texans receiver Andre Johnson told Marcus Smith of NFL Network "hopefully" and added "we'll see what happens."
Insight: Johnson (109 catches, 1,407 yards, five touchdowns in 2013) expressed his desire to be traded because he doesn't want to go through another rebuild with the Texans. He'll likely be with Houston when the season starts and is a bargain at his ADP of 46.6 (fantasyfootballcalculator.com).

Description: As expected, Houston wideout Andre Johnson was not present for the start of minicamp. SOURCE: Houston Chronicle
Insight: Johnson (109 catches, 1,407 yards, five touchdowns in 2013) is hoping for a trade, though the Texans don't seem willing to accomodate him. This standoff could last well into training camp.

Description: Texans receiver Andre Johnson is expected to skip the team's upcoming mandatory minicamp. SOURCE: NFL.com
Insight: It's pretty clear Johnson wants out of Houston. But unfortunately, it's not up to him. The star wideout is under contract until 2017 and the team has no obligation to trade him. Unless another team is willing to take on most of Johnson's remaining $29 million salary, he's unlikely to be dealt.

Description: Andre Johnson doesn't sound convinced about his future in Houston. SOURCE: Tania Ganguli, ESPN
Insight: He's decided not to attend OTAs or mini-camp. Johnson (109 receptions, 1,407 yards, 5 TD) won't be a free agent until 2017 so he'd have to ask for a trade in order to leave Houston.

Hot11/10/2013 8:07:00 PM
Description: Houston wideout Andre Johnson's resurgence continued in Sunday's loss to Arizona.
Insight: Yardage-wise, Sunday was actually one of Johnson's worst performances of the season (37 yards). But he reeled in two touchdowns, which was more than enough to keep fantasy owners happy. Expect another solid outing from Johnson next week against the Raiders.

10/18/2013 9:38:00 PM
Description: Texans receiver Andre Johnson (shin) had a full practice Friday and is probable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Insight: Johnson's shin is still sore but he's getting closer to being 100 percent. Case Keenum is making his first NFL start in place of Matt Schaub but he should be able to get Johnson the ball enough to make him worth starting as a WR2.

10/16/2013 6:46:00 PM
Description: Texans receiver Andre Johnson (shin) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Insight: Johnson is making progress towards being 100 percent; he missed several practices entirely last week before catching seven passes for 88 yards against the Rams on Sunday. His matchup against the Chiefs is a tough one and he could have T.J. Yates at quarterback, but he should be started as a WR2 in all leagues.

10/13/2013 12:00:00 PM
Description: As expected, Houston receiver Andre Johnson (shin) will play Sunday against St. Louis.
Insight: Johnson startled owners by missing a couple practices earlier in the week but he's good to go. Don't hesitate to start him against the Rams' 17th-ranked pass defense.

10/11/2013 2:00:00 PM
Description: Unlike his coach, Andre Johnson said he would play on Sunday.
Insight: Coach Gary Kubiak called Johnson a game-time decision, but the wideout said he felt better than last week. Johnson wasn't productive last week, but that was more a function of a horrible day from the quarterback position. If he plays, he's a must start.

10/10/2013 3:42:00 PM
Description: Andre Johnson's shin is acting up again. He missed most of Thursday's practice to receive treatment and is headed for a game-time decision Sunday against St. Louis. SOURCE: Texans on Twitter
Insight: Johnson has been battling this injury for a few weeks now and though it doesn't seem to be getting any better, it hasn't gotten any worse either. It would be wise to check on his status later in the week but we're guessing Johnson will play his usual role in the Houston offense Sunday versus the Rams.

10/9/2013 8:13:00 PM
Description: Texans receiver Andre Johnson wasn't on the field for Wednesday's practice.
Insight: We're not sure if Wednesday was just a maintenance day for Johnson or if he's dealing with a recurrence of one of his previous injuries. Johnson's status should be monitored closely ahead of Sunday's game versus St. Louis.

10/6/2013 7:26:00 PM
Description: As expected, Houston wideout Andre Johnson is active for Sunday night's game with San Francisco.
Insight: He's been dealing with a shin injury, but it didn't stop him from catching nine balls for 110 yards last week and he should be involved in the offense again this week.

9/29/2013 6:11:00 PM
Description: Despite being hobbled by a leg injury and facing Richard Sherman for most of Sunday's game against Seattle, Texans receiver Andre Johnson had nine catches for 110 yards.
Insight: A shin injury limited Johnson in practice throughout the week, but he still saw 12 targets Sunday and has 47 targets in four games. If he stays healthy, the veteran is a lock for another 100-catch season.
