Description: Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman isn't just dealing with a sprained left elbow, he's also on a baby watch.
Insight: Sherman's girlfriend is do this week, so she along with her doctor are in Arizona just in case so the cornerback won't have to fly back home to Seattle if his son is born. Now if his son will just give him about a four-hour window late Sunday afternoon it will work out for everyone involved.

Description: Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman's MRI indicated he has a sprained left elbow according to Albert Breer of NFL Network.
Insight: As expected, Sherman suffered an injury in his left arm. He could move the arm during the second part of the second half, but he played through the injury and plans to do the same versus the Patriots. It will be interesting to see how much Patriots quarterback Tom Brady tests the potentially one-armed Sherman.

Description: The Seahawks have signed cornerback Richard Sherman to a four-year, $57.4 million contract extension.
Insight: The deal makes him the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL. The 26-year-old former fifth-round pick deserves it. He's amassed 20 interceptions in three seasons while frequently locking down the opposing team's No. 1 receiver.

Description: Seahawks All-Pro corner Richard Sherman was fined $7,875 for taunting 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick at the end of last week's NFC Championship Game. SOURCE: ESPN
Insight: Sherman makes $550,000 a year so that's pretty much a slap on the wrist. The Stanford alum led the league with eight interceptions during the regular season. He'll be asked to cover Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas next week in Super Bowl XLVIII.

Description: Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman has won his appeal against the league and will not have to serve a four game suspension for use of performance enhancing drugs.
Insight: Sherman claimed his positive test result (he tested positive for Adderall) was the result of a broken cup and apparently the NFL agreed with him after hearing his side of the story. Sherman has had a terrific season (61 tackles, seven interceptions) and was recently included on ESPN expert John Clayton's list of Pro Bowl snubs.

Description: Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman will likely start Sunday night against the 49ers, NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said. SOURCE:
Insight: Sherman had his appeal of a four-game suspension for violating the league's PED policy was heard on Friday but the league office has received no indication from the hearing officer that a ruling is imminent. A decision would have come Saturday to give Seattle a fair chance to activate a player from the practice squad. While Sherman has been a lockdown corner this year, fantasy owners can still start Michael Crabtree coming off a 107-yard, two-touchdown performance last Sunday at New England. Stevie Johnson and Brandon Marshall have both had 100-yard games against the Seahawks this month.

Insight: Sherman and fellow Seahawks CB Brandon Browner were suspended for four games at the end of November for violating the NFL's PED policy but both appealed (Browner dropped his appeal and started his suspension in Week 14). Seattle hosts San Francisco in Week 16, so WR Michael Crabtree's fantasy value could hinge on the results of Friday's hearing.

Description: Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman is likely to have his appeal date for a four-game suspension pushed back even further than Dec. 14. SOURCE: Adam Schefter, ESPN
Insight: Sherman has emerged as a lockdown cornerback this season and is more important to Seattle's defense than No. 2 CB Brandon Browner, who has dropped his appeal and will start his suspension Sunday. Arizona WR Larry Fitzgerald remains a high-risk play in Week 14 against Sherman, even with John Skelton replacing Ryan Lindley at QB.

Description: The NFL hopes to hold the hearings for Seahawks cornerbacks Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner next week. Both players are facing four-game suspensions for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs. SOURCE:
Insight: Both players are appealing on the grounds that there were irregularities in the collection process. This could end up dragging on for several weeks as the NFLPA prepares its case. Fantasy owners should at least expect to see both Seattle CBs on the field in Week 13 against the Bears.

Insight: The Seahawks rank third in the NFL in passing yards allowed so this could be a huge development for opposing receivers. Seattle plays Chicago, Arizona, Buffalo, San Francisco and St. Louis in the final five games. Sherman and Browner plan to appeal the suspension. According to Mike Garafolo of USA Today, Sherman and Browner were pinched for using Adderall, the same drug that reportedly got Aqib Talib, Eric Wright and Joe Haden suspended earlier this season.
