Description: Miami wideout Brian Hartline left Monday's game and will not return.
Insight: It is a knee injury, and he was unable to walk it off. Brandon Gibson will see extended snaps.

Description: Miami wideout Brian Hartline has not been able to find a niche in the Dolphins offense of late. He's got just seven catchers for 62 yards in the first two games this season.
Insight: Since a 253-yard output in Sept of 2012, Hartline has cracked the 100-yard mark just three times in 29 games. He's not a touchdown maker, either, just four over the same span and fantasy owners should not be looking to him to produce starter fantasy value.

Description: Miami wideout Brian Hartline suffered a torn PCL in his left knee Sunday against the Jets. SOURCE: Armando Salguero, Miami Herald
Insight: It doesn't matter much now that the Dolphins won't be going to the postseason. A PCL tear is much less serious than an ACL tear, which means Hartline is in no danger of missing training camp next summer.

Description: Dolphins receiver Brian Hartline won't be returning to Sunday's game against the Jets. He's out with a knee injury. SOURCE: Adam Silverstein, OnlyGators.com
Insight: Early reports are indicating that it may be a torn ACL. Hartline will finish the regular season with 76 catches for 1,016 yards and four touchdowns.

Description: Miami wideout Brian Hartline hurt his knee early in Sunday's game against the Jets. His return is questionable. SOURCE: Greg Gumbel, CBS Sports
Insight: Hartline had 38 yards before exiting, which gives him 1,016 receiving yards for the year. It's the former Buckeye's second straight 1,000-yard season.

12/1/2013 5:30:00 PM
Description: Dolphins receiver Brian Hartline produced his first 100-yard game since Week 1 with 127 yards on nine catches Sunday against the Jets.
Insight: Hartline added his third touchdown of the season. He's been a solid PPR receiver this season, catching 62 passes for 804 yards in 12 games.

9/8/2013 5:13:00 PM
Description: With Mike Wallace blanketed by nemesis Joe Haden, Brian Hartline drew 15 targets from Ryan Tannehill and finished with 114 yards and a touchdown on nine catches in the season opener against the Browns.
Insight: Hartline had 1,000 yards in 2012, but a good portion of them came in Week 4 at Arizona when he grabbed 12 passes for 253 yards. He has good chemistry with Tannehill, but the Dolphins didn't sign Wallace to have him be a decoy and also will not run the ball as poorly as they did Sunday (23 carries, 20 yards) every week.

3/8/2013 8:00:00 PM
Description: Dolphins receiver Brian Hartline's new contract is worth $30.775 million over the next five seasons. SOURCE: NBC Sports
Insight: Twelve million of that is guaranteed. Hartline (career-high 1,083 yards in 2012) appeared to have good chemistry with rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill last season so this seems like a good fit.

3/5/2013 1:52:00 PM
Description: Miami wide receiver Brian Hartline appears to be on the verge of returning to the Dolphins.
Insight: Hartline had a career year in 2012, reeling in 74 catches for 1,083 yards and had good chemistry with rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Beware, however, that the Dolphins have been mentioned frequently in the pursuit of former Pittsburgh Steelers' receiver Mike Wallace. If Wallace come to south Florida, Hartline would slip to the No. 2 role and his fantasy value would take a big hit.

12/31/2012 5:10:00 PM
Description: According to the Miami Herald, receiver Brian Hartline is hoping to return to the Dolphins in 2013. Hartline will become a free agent after the season.
Insight: Hartline had a career year in 2012, reeling in 74 catches for 1,083 yards. Hartline only had one touchdown but it seemed like he had good chemistry with rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill. He's the team's No. 1 option in the receiving game and should be for many years to come, assuming the Dolphins are able to re-sign him.

12/23/2012 12:36:00 PM
Description: Miami wideout Brian Hartline (back) is active from Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.
Insight: Hartline has 1,002 yards on the season but 25 percent of them came in Week 4 (12-253-1). His one touchdown this year also came in that game. Unless you're in a PPR league Hartline cannot be trusted Sunday.

12/23/2012 10:36:00 AM
Description: Miami wideout Brian Hartline is expected to play Sunday against Buffalo despite dealing with a sore back throughout the week.
Insight: At least that's what Palm Beach Post reporter Ben Volin is saying. Hartline had four catches for 49 yards against the Bills back in Week 11.

12/20/2012 3:37:00 PM
Description: Dolphins receiver Brian Hartline didn't practice Thursday due to a back injury. Davone Bess missed Sunday's game with a similar injury and also didn't practice Thursday.
Insight: Hartline has been living off his Week 4 performance (12-253-1) all season. He has averaged 57.6 yards with zero touchdowns in his other 13 games and will make for a risky WR3 if he plays Sunday. Even with Bess out last week Hartline was only targeted six times.

12/17/2012 6:50:00 PM
Description: Dolphins receiver Brian Hartline exceeded 1,000 yards for the first time in his career Sunday with 77 yards on five receptions.
Insight: Hartline has been living off his Week 4 performance (12-253-1) all season. He has averaged 57.6 yards with zero touchdowns in his other 13 games.

Description: Dolphins receiver Brian Hartline lost a fumble after making a 17-yard catch in the first quarter Thursday. However, he stayed in the game. SOURCE: Ben Volin, Palm Beach Post
Insight: Miami running back Reggie Bush was benched for the majority of the game after fumbling last Sunday against Tennessee. The Dolphins can't really afford to bench Hartline, however, considering how thin their receiving corps is, especially with Jabar Gaffney inactive.

Cold11/4/2012 10:19:00 AM
Description: Pro Football Talk reports that Dolphins wide receiver Brian Hartline is ready to go for Sunday's game in Indianapolis. He had been listed as questionable with a groin injury.
Insight: Hartline hasn't been productive at all since his monster Week 4 game against Arizona (12 grabs, 253 yards and a touchdown). If you have better receiving options, go ahead and use them as Hartline could be limited Sunday due to his sore groin.

11/2/2012 8:01:00 PM
Description: Dolphins receiver Brian Hartline is questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts due to a groin injury.
Insight: Hartline only has eight catches in three games since his 12-catch, 253-yard blow up in Week 4. Miami plays at 1 p.m. ET Sunday.

10/14/2012 5:02:00 PM
Description: Dolphins receiver Brian Hartline saw zero targets in Week 6 against the Rams. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill did throw to him twice in the second half, but both were erased by penalty.
Insight: The fall has been quick, from 253 yards in Week 4 to 59 yards last week to being shutout on Sunday.

10/7/2012 4:20:00 PM
Description: Dolphins receiver Brian Hartline came back to earth in Week 5 after a career game last week. Hartline caught four balls for 59 yards.
Insight: Hartline was still Miami's leading receiver, both in yardage and receptions. Ryan Tannehill was solid again, throwing for 223 yards with zero turnovers, leading us to believe that Hartline will still ably fill your WR3 spot during the bye weeks.

10/6/2012 10:46:00 AM
Description: According to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins and receiver Brian Hartline are already discussing terms of a new contract. Hartline is set to become a free agent after the 2012 season.
Insight: Hartline leads the NFL with 455 receiving yards in four games this season and seems to be rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill's favorite target. The Fins are hoping to secure Hartline now before his value skyrockets and he opts for more money on the open market after the season.
