Description: Jared Cook couldn't match the success he had in Week 1 Sunday against the Falcons.

Description: Jared Cook blew up for 141 receiving yards and two touchdowns Sunday in the Rams' come from behind win over Arizona.
Insight: Cook seemed to be Sam Bradford's favorite target on Sunday. After four years of mediocrity in Tennessee, the 26-year-old finally looks poised for a breakout season.

Description: All reports out of Rams' camp have tight end Jared Cook and quarterback Sam Bradford quickly developing an excellent rapport.
Insight: The tight end is an explosive athlete who can split out wide and could replace Danny Amedola as Bradford's go-to guy and safety value. Cook never produced in Tennessee as most expected, but he could turn into a top fantasy tight end in St. Louis.

Description: The Rams have signed former Titans tight end Jared Cook to a five-year contract.
Insight: Earlier reports had Cook close to a deal with the Dolphins. The tight end is an explosive athlete who can split out wide and could replace Danny Amendola as St. Louis' slot receiver. His numbers haven't lived up to his abilities yet but he'll be an intriguing player as Sam Bradford's new No. 1 target.

Description: The Titans decided not to use their franchise tag on tight end Jared Cook.
Insight: Cook was preparing to ask for the wide receiver's minimum rather than the significantly lower tight end salary and the Titans decided it just wasn't worth the hassle. Now that Cook is officially a free agent, Jason La Canfora from CBS expects the Rams (coached by Cook's former Tennessee coach Jeff Fisher) to make a run at him.

Insight: If only it were that simple. Technically Cook is listed as a tight end but he's trying to argue that he's actually a wide receiver. As a tight end, Cook (44 catches, 523 yards, four TD in 2012) would only be entitled to $6.066 million but as a wideout, he'd earn more than $10 million. It will be interesting to see if Cook's decision to call himself a wide receiver will influence his fantasy eligibility at all next season. Obviously, he'd be worth much more as a tight end than he would be as a wideout. He'd just be making a lot less money.

Insight: Cook hasn't been a major factor in Tennessee's offense this season but he's been more involved since Jake Locker returned from his shoulder injury. Craig Stevens (20-252-1) is the next man up but isn't an attractive fantasy option.

Insight: Cook had one catch Sunday against the Dolphins, a 26-yard touchdown. The Titans tight end has three touchdowns this season but just 31 catches in 10 games. He can be safely dropped this week with Tennessee on a bye.

9/30/2012 12:03:00 PM
Description: Titans tight end Jared Cook (shoulder) is active for Week 4 against Houston.
Insight: Cook had four catches for 77 yards and a score Sunday before leaving the game late in the second quarter with a shoulder injury. Cook is second on the team in targets and that shouldn't change with Kenny Britt inactive Sunday.

9/27/2012 7:34:00 PM
Description: Titans tight end Jared Cook (shoulder) practiced Thursday in a limited session, according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean.
Insight: Cook had four catches for 77 yards and a score Sunday before leaving the game late in the second quarter. Titans coach Mike Munchak said the Titans feel good about Cook's chances of playing Sunday.

Description: Titans OC Chris Palmer said he's been very impressed with TE Jared Cook and can't wait to get the season started.

Description: After the loss to the Colts, Titans QB Kerry Collins praised TE Jared Cook, saying "from where he is now to where he was at the beginning of the year was like night and day." SOURCE: NASHVILLE TENNESSEAN
Insight: "The light's come on for him and it's shown in the way he's played." With a healthy Bo Scaife inactive the last few weeks, Cook caught fifteen passes for 196 yards and a score. Expect the team to finally let Scaife go to free agency and give Cook a shot at landing the starting job in 2011.

8/20/2010 2:36:00 PM
Description: Compared to 2009's training camp, Titans TE Jared Cook's 2010 training camp has been a lot quieter and he has also been struggling with consistency. SOURCE: NASHVILLE TENNESSEAN
Insight: Cook has always possessed pass-catching skills, but has dealt with inconsistencies in the past. It looks like dynasty owners may have to continue to wait on him while he shares snaps with Bo Scaife.
