Description: Former Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase said running back C.J. Anderson was not in great shape, struggling with his conditioning at times last season according to the Chicago Tribune.
Insight: That would make sense as Anderson seemed to tire over the season. He had just a 3.8 yard per carry average in December. Still, he averaged 4.7 yards per attempt over the whole season, rushing for 849 yards and scoring 10 total touchdowns. That wasn't bad for a waiver wire pickup midway through the season, but it will be intriguing where he lands on the Denver depth chart this year and consequently, where he falls in fantasy drafts. New coach Gary Kubiak has not assured Anderson a starting role in the backfield.

Description: Broncos running back C.J. Anderson carried the Denver offense at times on Sunday, but it wasn't enough.
Insight: Anderson gained 91 yards on 19 carries and had 29 more yards in the passing game. Anderson displayed great individual effort when he picked up a huge first down on the last play of the third quarter. On the play, the Colts had Anderson wrapped up for a five-yard loss, but Anderson wiggled out of the tackle and was able to pick up more than a yard. Just prior to that, Anderson helped the Broncos avoid a 15-yard penalty when he pushed offensive lineman Orlando Franklin away from the Colts defenders. Despite Anderson's intangibles, the Broncos lost, 24-13.

Description: Broncos running back C.J. Anderson got a big change to contribute and he took advantage, combining for 163 yards and a touchdown against Oakland.
