Governor Dayton signs Vikings' stadium bill

St. Paul, MN (Sports Network) - Governor Mark Dayton on Monday signed off on a bill that will give the Minnesota Vikings a new stadium.

The $975 million project won final legislative approval last Thursday.

The new fixed-roof stadium will sit on the current site of the Metrodome, where the Vikings have played since 1982. The Vikings hope to open the stadium for the 2016 season.

The Minneapolis City Council still has to approve the bill.
