Notes: 2010: Selected by Washington in 1st round (30th overall) of the NBA Draft; Traded to Minnesota for Trevor Booker and Hamady N`Diaye, June 24th...2011: Traded to Oklahoma City for two 2nd round picks, Dec. 13th.
A rare breed, as he remained in college for all four years and improved his stock each season...Averaged 13.5 ppg in his career at Marquette, but in his final season he posted 18.1 ppg, to go along with 6.6 rpg...His biggest asset is his tremendous shooting ability...The New York native has terrific form on his shot and is also a solid free throw shooter...Is a solid defensive player, who understands the fundamentals of the game...Has been described as a team player, and never plays outside of his normal game...However, other than his pure ability to shoot the ball, Hayward is not overly productive in any other
area...Has trouble creating his own shot...Not overly athletic and does not possess great quickness.
