Description: Kings forward Jason Thompson was all over the boards Sunday night against Cleveland.
Insight: He led the way with 16 rebounds in 31 minutes of court time. Thompson also added eight points and two blocked shots. He's averaging almost ten rebounds per game for the month of January (9.6 rpg).

12/9/2013 10:08:00 AM
Description: Sacramento PF Jason Thompson may be the big loser in the Kings' trade for Rudy Gay if the team decides to use Derrick Williams at the big forward spot.
Insight: Rumors have the team looking to trade Thompson, but for now Williams could eat into Thompson's minutes. The Rider alum is current posting a less-than-desired 7.1 ppg and 5.6 rpg.

4/4/2013 10:15:00 AM
Description: Sacramento forward Jason Thompson posted a double-double Wednesday in a loss to Houston (17 points, 15 rebounds).
Insight: Well, that's a little out of left field. Thompson can score (10.8 ppg) but he's never been a great rebounder for his size (just 6.7 boards per contest this season). Head coach Keith Smart seems to prefer Thompson over Patrick Patterson so at the very least he should see a lot of playing time down the stretch.

3/3/2013 8:37:00 PM
Description: Kings power forward Jason Thompson had 18 points and 14 rebounds with two steals Sunday versus Charlotte.
Insight: It was just the third double-double Thompson has since the calendar flipped to 2013 but he did average 12.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in February.

Hot1/2/2013 9:33:00 PM
Description: Kings power forward Jason Thompson had 19 points and 10 rebounds with three blocks Wednesday at Cleveland.
Insight: Thompson is averaging 18.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game over his last three games.

1/1/2013 10:08:00 PM
Description: Kings power forward Jason Thompson followed up a season-high 20-point game with 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting with six rebounds and one block Tuesday.
Insight: Thompson is shooting better than 51 perecnt from the field while averaging 11.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game, certainly fantasy-worthy numbers.

12/20/2012 11:34:00 AM
Description: Kings power forward Jason Thompson tied a season-high with 15 rebounds and three blocks Wednesday against the Warriors. Thompson added 10 points and three assists in the game.
Insight: Thompson (11.2 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 1.0 bpg) has once again endured the Kings acquiring another high-profile big man (Thomas Robinson, No. 5 overall in the 2012 NBA Draft), averaging 30 mpg.

6/28/2012 8:14:00 PM
Description: The Kings extended a qualifying offer to forward-center Jason Thompson this week, according to the Sacramento Bee, but his role may be limited now that No. 5 overall draft choice Thomas Robinson is in the fold.
Insight: Thompson has endured as the Kings acquired frontcourt players such as DeMarcus Cousins, Samuel Dalembert, Chuck Hayes and J.J. Hickson, but the selection of Robinson to play power forward may dramatically reduce his role next season.

4/6/2012 3:26:00 PM
Description: Jason Thompson had 15 points and 16 rebounds in 39 minutes on Thursday against the Clippers.
Insight: Thompson has been up and down since returning from a two-game absence due to an ankle injury. He scored just two points on Tuesday, so hopefully this starts another hot trend for him. Keep playing him, but temper your expectations and know that he's capable of throwing up a dud on any given night.

Hot3/29/2012 9:22:00 AM
Description: Jason Thompson (ankle) returned to the Kings lineup on Wednesday against San Antonio, playing 37 minutes and contributing 15 points, seven boards, three steals, three blocks and two assists.
Insight: Quite a performance for Thompson in his return. He averaged 17.6 points and 13.6 rebounds in the five games before the injury, so it's good to see him get back in action. He's a must start, as it doesn't seem like the injury will be an issue going further.

3/27/2012 10:02:00 AM
Description: Jason Thompson (ankle) didn't dress for Monday's game after taking part in pregame drills. He's considered day-to-day, and he could be back for Sacramento's road tilt vs. San Antonio on Wednesday if he doesn't have a setback.
Insight: The injury came at an unfortunate time for Thompson owners. The forward had recorded five straight double-doubles before rolling his ankle on March 22. Wait to see if Thompson is fully healthy before plugging him back into your lineup, as the Kings could decide to pull him after pregame drills like they did on Monday.

3/26/2012 6:01:00 PM
Description: Jason Thompson (ankle) will be back in the Kings' starting lineup Monday night in Houston.
Insight: Thompson missed Saturday night's matchup with Golden State after he rolled his ankle in a game earlier in the week. Thompson has been a double-double machine lately (16.8 ppg, 13.3 rpg in his last four contests). Until Thompson's stats come back down to Earth, you have got to keep playing him.

Hot3/23/2012 10:25:00 AM
Description: Jason Thompson hurt his ankle against Golden State on Thursday night, but x-rays were negative and he expects to play on Saturday.
Insight: Thompson has been playing some of the best ball of his career, posting five consecutive double-doubles (17.6 ppg, 13.6 rpg) and it would be a shame to see him sit out because of injury while he is on such a nice roll. If he plays, he is a must-start.

2/26/2011 10:50:00 PM
Description: Jason Thompson hurt his right leg and was unable to finish Saturday night's game. Marcus Thornton compounded his solid debut with another nice outing of 15 points, three assists, and a steal in 31 minutes.
Insight: The extent of Thompson's injury is not yet known, but anything is possible at this moment. He was playing well, so his owners need to make sure they're adding a quality player if they can't wait for J.T.

2/24/2011 12:01:00 AM
Description: Jason Thompson (17 points, four boards, five assists, two blocks, and a steal) and Jermaine Taylor (21 points, five boards, and a three) both came to play in the win at Orlando.
Insight: Thompson deserves a look in most leagues now that the four-way split is just three in the frontcourt. Taylor looks good and all, but Marcus Thornton has a bit more allure as an add since we've seen him go off over a long period of time (last season).

1/29/2011 10:45:00 PM
Description: The Kings broadcast team is reporting the Jason Thompson has a sprained ankle and will not return.
Insight: He only lased eight minutes before the injury and we'll probably know more about how bad it is tomorrow. In the meantime, Dalembert and Landry are much more attractive players in standard leagues.

1/15/2011 10:27:00 PM
Description: Jason Thompson came out like gangbusters to start the game by scoring 20 points in the first half. He finished with 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting with seven boards.
Insight: The Kings frontcourt rotation is about as easy to solve as a Rubik's cube. Big men are tough to come by, which makes Thompson a decent add in deeper leagues.

1/9/2011 11:04:00 PM
Description: Thompson had a breakout game with 19 points and 11 rebounds against the Raptors.
Insight: He shot 50 percent from the field while hitting 7 of his 8 free throws. (RapidDraft.com)

1/9/2011 4:13:00 PM
Description: Jason Thompson (19 points, 11 boards, two steals, and a block in 28 minutes, Carl Landry (22 points, four boards, and a block in 29 minutes) and DeMarcus Cousins (18 points, 10 boards, a steal, and two blocks) all played very well in the losing effort to the Raptors.
Insight: Take it easy, folks. This did come against the Raptors. Landry and Thompson have not been too consistent and are not sure-fire adds like these tidy lines might suggest. Sure, if you have dead weight then by all means.

12/15/2010 12:14:00 AM
Description: Jason Thompson (15 points and 10 boards) and DeMarcus Cousins (17 points, seven boards, and a block) both played well in the loss at Houston on Tuesday.
Insight: The Kings and Raptors are two of the toughest teams to figure out in fantasy this year. Thompson and Cousins are becoming more consistent by the day and look to be the most valuable big men on the team. They are not exactly must-own players, but it can be tough to find decent forwards on the wire.
