Description: Mavs rookie Shane Larkin will be sidelined for 2-to-3 months after breaking his ankle at practice. SOURCE: Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo Sports
Insight: Larkin was awesome last season at the University of Miami, though he slipped to the end of the first round in last month's draft because of his lack of height (5-foot-11). Obviously, this injury will stunt his progress to a certain extent. When Larkin's ankle finally heals up, he'll provide depth at point guard behind starter Jose Calderon.
