Without Westbrook, Durant powers Thunder past Bobcats
Charlotte, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - With the Oklahoma City Thunder announcing point guard Russell Westbrook will be out until after the All-Star break due to an arthroscopic procedure performed on his surgically repaired right knee, Kevin Durant willed his team to a victory on Friday night.
Durant scored 14 of his game-high 34 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Thunder to an 89-85 win over the Charlotte Bobcats from Time Warner Cable Arena.
Serge Ibaka and Thabo Sefolosha each scored 12 points, while Reggie Jackson and Jeremy Lamb chipped in with 10 apiece for the Thunder, winners in 11 of their past 12 contests.
Kemba Walker paced Charlotte with 18 points on just 6-of-17 shooting and Al Jefferson added a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.
