Davis to return for Hornets New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - New Orleans Hornets rookie forward Anthony Davis is slated to play in Monday's game against the Orlando Magic after missing the team's previous two contests with a sprained left shoulder. Davis sustained the injury during the second half of a 101-97 home loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Feb. 26, but the 2012 No. 1 overall draft pick participated in Monday's shootaround and has been cleared for action without any known restrictions. "He's playing," Hornets head coach Monty Williams confirmed. "No minute restriction; not that Ive heard. That could change this evening, but nothing that I've heard so far." Davis, who sat out 11 games due to a stress reaction in his left ankle earlier this season, has averaged 12.5 points and 7.4 rebounds over 45 appearances thus far in his debut campaign. 03/04 17:14:59 ET |
