Insight: Iwakuma has been throwing on flat ground the last week, but he his strained right lat became stiff, so he isn't going to throw again. Fantasy owners shouldn't count on him returning before June.

Insight: This injury should tell owners why Iwakuma hasn't pitched well this season. He has a 6.61 ERA, so hopefully he gets better when healthy. Stash him on a disabled list spot if you can.

Insight: Iwakuma could have been a bit rusty as he hadn't pitched in a week and a half. Iwakuma should improve upon his numbers from last season: 3.52 ERA, 154 strikeouts versus just 21 walks in 179 innings, so owners shouldn't let this start both them.

Insight: Before today's start, Iwakuma was 1-2 with a 9.69 ERA over his past three outings. Today was not much better as he lasted only 4 1/3 innings, giving up four runs and raising his ERA to 3.54. Iwakuma did manage eight strikeouts, but it was not enough as Seattle fell.

Insight: Iwakuma (5-3, 2.59 ERA) manhandled the Rangers, limiting them to just six hits and one run over eight innings. The always accurate Iwakuma has allowed only six free passes in nine starts.

Insight: This was a much better outing than Iwakuma's previous start against Detroit (6 IP, 8 H, 5 ER, 2 BB). Iwakuma's next start is scheduled for Tuesday against the Yankees. He'll be going up against fellow Japanese right-hander Masahiro Tanaka (8-1, 2.06 ERA) in that game.

Insight: That's a great team for him to return against and fantasy owners should make sure he's in their lineup. Iwakuma owns a 1.38 ERA in four starts against the Astros. He was diagnosed with a strained tendon in his right middle finger on Feb. 12.

Insight: Iwakuma, who was diagnosed with a strained tendon in his right middle finger on Feb. 12, was expected to rejoin the M's rotation on Friday and he probably still will, but the team hasn't made it official yet.

Insight: Iwakuma was expected to begin his rehab assignment today but the team moved him to a simulated game due to inclement weather in Tacoma. The plan is to have Iwakuma throw roughly 75 pitches Sunday for Triple-A Tacoma at Las Vegas. If all goes well there, he could rejoin the Mariners.

Insight: He's been out with a strained finger. We're expecting Iwakuma (14-6, 2.66 ERA in 2013) to be back in the M's rotation sometime in late April or early May.
