Description: After a two-month stint in Triple-A, Mark Melancon has finally earned a promotion back up to the major leagues. | Insight: Melancon was dominant in 21.2 innings for Triple-A Pawtucket (0.83 ERA, .185 BAA) but he looked terrible in four appearances for the Red Sox at the start of the year (0-2, 49.50 ERA). If Melancon pitches like he did in Pawtucket, he could easily become Boston's new setup man. But that 49.50 ERA serves as a reminder that things could also go south in a hurry for Melancon if he's not careful. | | |
