Insight: Belt suffered the injury when he was hit by a pitch from Paul Maholm nearly four weeks ago. Doctors will likely take X-rays Friday to determine if his thumb has healed. "The way it feels, I can't imagine they'll find anything," Belt said. "It feels great." If he's cleared to start his rehab, he'll need roughly two weeks before he can return to the Giants lineup.
