Insight: De La Rosa couldn't hold the, 2-0, lead the Diamondbacks gave him, so with it tied, 2-2, the game went into extra innings. Arizona eventual won in the 13th. De La Rosa is 4-2 with a 4.08 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 47 strikeouts in 53 innings this season.

Insight: De La Rosa threw seven inning and allowed just one run on four hits. He also struck out eight and walked none. De La Rosa is 2-1 with a 4.68 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, 25 strikeouts and just five walks.

Description: Red Sox starter Rubby De La Rosa was terrific Sunday against the Angels, striking out eight batters and allowed five hits over seven innings of one-run ball.
Insight: The 25-year-old De La Rosa has gone 4-4 with a 3.21 ERA, a 1.29 WHIP and 48 Ks in 67 1/3 innings this season. He'll be part of Boston's rotation the rest of the season.

Description: The Red Sox have recalled Rubby De La Rosa from Triple-A Pawtucket.
Insight: De La Rosa had a 2.51 ERA, a 1.02 WHIP and a 30/8 K/BB in 32 1/3 innings earlier this season, but the team sent him down when Clay Buchholz returned from the disabled list. The Red Sox had a rainout and doubleheader over the weekend, so they need a spot start from De La Rosa. With Jake Peavy on the trade block and John Lackey also a potential trade chip, De La Rosa should have a permanent spot in Boston's rotation later this season.

Insight: De La Rosa (2-2, 2.51 ERA) surrendered just one run in seven innings, fanning seven to go with one walk. The 25-year-old has been brilliant, holding opponents to a .216 average in 32 1/3 innings. With De La Rosa pitching so well, the Red Sox will have a difficult decision to make when Brandon Workman (suspension) and Clay Buchholz (knee injury) are activated later this week.

Insight: De La Rosa has pitched well since his promotion in late May, going 2-2 with a 2.84 ERA in 25 1/3 innings. Opponents have hit just .231 against him during that span. It's unknown if De La Rosa will remain with the club or get sent down when Clay Buchholz and Felix Doubront return from the disabled list later this month.

Insight: De La Rosa's fastball was consistently in the high 90s and his changeup was almost unhittable. He didn't walk a batter all night and finished with eight strikeouts. The 25-year-old could be a player to watch in fantasy if Clay Buchholz remains on the disabled list for an extended period of time.
