Insight: Baker was released by the Mariners on Monday. The Rangers could definitely use another arm, especially now that Yu Darvish is out with a neck injury. Even if Baker (4.14 ERA in 166 MLB appearances) does make the Rangers' starting rotation, he won't be an appealing fantasy option.

Insight: According to the Star Tribune, Twins GM Terry Ryan said Baker "just didn't feel right" and "couldn't seem to get loose on the mound." Hold onto Baker but plan to be without him longer than expected. Hopefully his sore elbow isn't revealed to be something more serious.
