Interleague Preview from The Sports Network

Wednesday, May 29th (All times Eastern)

Chicago White Sox (24-25) at Chicago Cubs (20-30), 2:20 p.m.

Probable Starting Pitchers: Cubs - Scott Feldman (4-4, 2.80) White Sox - John Danks (0-0, 4.50)

(Sports Network) - The Crosstown Classic shifts to Wrigley Field on Wednesday when the Chicago Cubs host the White Sox in the first of two games on the North Side.

The Cubs beat the White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field on Monday, but Tuesday's game was postponed because of rain in the third inning.

Welington Castillo clubbed a two-run homer in the second inning to give the Cubs a 2-0 lead against White Sox starter Chris Sale, but the heavy rains forced play to be halted with one out in the bottom of the third.

Edwin Jackson started for the Cubs and allowed just one hit over 2 1/3 frames.

"You hate to waste any time you get up 2-0 against a pitcher like (Chris) Sale," Cubs manager Dale Sveum said. "You score two and hopefully a couple more and you've done your share off a guy like that. It's too bad the game has to get canceled that quick."

No makeup date was announced.

So, on Wednesday, the Cubs will turn to righty Scott Feldman, who has been a pleasant surprise this season. Feldman, though, lost for the first time in five decisions on Friday in Cincinnati, as he surrendered five run and seven hits to fall to 4-4, while raising his ERA to 2.80.

He had been 4-0 with a 1.27 ERA over his previous five starts

Feldman has faced the White Sox 13 times (7 starts) and is 3-2 with a 4.33 ERA.

The White Sox, meanwhile, will counter with lefty John Danks, who will be making his second start of the season after missing most of last year with a shoulder injury. Danks did not get a decision against the Miami Marlins on Friday, as he held them to three runs and four hits in six innings of a 4-3 win.

"It was a good first one," said Danks. "I did as much as I had hoped to do."

Danks' last big league win actually came against the Cubs back on May 19, 2012 and he is 3-1 lifetime against them with a 2.30 ERA in five starts.

The White Sox have won four of six in each of the four previous seasons against the Cubs.
