The Champions Tour returns to action this week and will get a boost from a pair of players. Former British Open champion and television commentator Ian-Baker Finch will make his Champions Tour debut this week. Baker-Finch has played just three PGA Tour-sanctioned events since 1997. Also is the field this week will be Lee Trevino, who stated this will be his only full-field event of the season. The World Golf Hall of Famer will make his 14th appearance in the tournament`s 17-year history. Last year, Fred Couples earned a four-shot win over Ronnie Black with three rounds of 66 or better. It was Couples` second win in three starts on the Champions Tour. Including Couples, seven of the last nine winners of this event will play this week at Newport Beach Country Club. Golf Channel has tape-delayed coverage of all three rounds. After a two-week break, the Champions Tour will return to action at the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic, where David Eger beat Tommy Armour III by a single stroke last year.
