James Madison play calling back to Durden

Harrisonburg, VA (Sports Network) - James Madison University offensive coordinator Jeff Durden has returned to coaching the quarterbacks and will reassume the play calling duties, Dukes football coach Mickey Matthews announced Monday.

Matthews handled the play calling last season while JMU went 8-5 and reached the second round of the FCS playoffs

Durden has spent seven years coaching the JMU quarterbacks, but worked with the tight ends last season.

In other coaching changes, defensive assistant Tony LeZotte was promoted to safeties coach and Isai Bradshaw to defensive line coach.

JMU's 2012 season will kick off on Sept. 1 against St. Francis (Pa.).
