Portland State to visit TCU, play six at home

Portland, OR (Sports Network) - Portland State will play six home games in head football coach Nigel Burton's second season, beginning with the season opener on Sept. 3 against NAIA member Southern Oregon.

The Vikings also will play a Football Bowl Subdivision opponent when they visit TCU on Sept. 24 in Fort Worth.

In addition to hosting Southern Oregon, Portland State's other games at Jeld- Wen Field are against fellow Big Sky Conference members Northern Arizona (Sept. 17), Montana State (Oct. 8), Sacramento State (Nov. 5) and Weber State (Nov. 19), and NCAA Division II opponent Willamette (Oct. 22)

The Vikings finished 2-9 overall and 1-7 in the Big Sky in Burton's first season last fall.
