Robert Morris to open season against Dayton

Moon Township, PA (Sports Network) - Robert Morris will kick off its 2011 football schedule by hosting the University of Dayton on Sept. 3 - one of five home games for the Colonials.

The Colonials, 2010 Northeast Conference co-champions, are opening the season at Joe Walton Stadium for the first time since 2008. Dayton is coming off a co-championship in the Pioneer Football League.

Robert Morris' other four home games will be against NEC opponents: St. Francis, Pa., on Homecoming Day (Oct. 8); Bryant (Oct. 22); Sacred Heart (Oct. 29); and Wagner (Nov. 12).

Robert Morris finished the 2010 season with an 8-3 record after advancing to the FCS playoffs as the conference's first representative.
