Carlin named Bucknell's assistant head coach

Lewisburg, PA (Sports Network) - Bucknell defensive coordinator Clayton Carlin added the title of assistant head coach in an announcement by head coach Joe Susan on Monday.

While continuing to oversee the Bucknell defense, Carlin will shift his coaching focus from the linebackers to the secondary.

Susan also reorganized coaching responsibilities of two other assistants. Ross Pennypacker has taken over the linebacker coaching duties and Chip Taylor will assist Carlin with the defensive backs while continuing in his role as special teams coach.

Bucknell finished 1-10 overall and 1-4 in the Patriot League in Susan's first season last fall. The Bison will kick off the 2011 season on Sept. 3 against Duquesne of the Northeast Conference.
