New Elon head coach building staff

Elon, NC (Sports Network) - New Elon Phoenix football coach Jason Swepson continued to build his staff on Tuesday by announcing the addition of three coaches to the three he has retained.

New to the staff are offensive coordinator Chris Pincince, tight ends coach Bobby Blick and linebackers coach Al Washington.

Returning to the Phoenix are Scott Browne, Jerrick Hall and Kevin Downing. Browne will remain the program's recruiting coordinator and add the title of special teams coordinator. Hall will remain as the defensive line coach and Downing will coach the wide receivers.

Pincince, who also will have the roles of quarterbacks and running backs coach, has been the offensive coordinator at the University of Rhode Island for the past three seasons.

Blick has spent the last four seasons at North Carolina State as the offensive graduate assistant coach and offensive video graduate assistant.

Washington spent the past two seasons as the defensive line coach at Slippery Rock.

Swepson has replaced Pete Lembo, who left Elon to become Ball State's head coach. The Phoenix were 6-5 overall and 5-3 in the Southern Conference in 2010.
