Former Liberty standout becomes assistant Lynchburg, VA (Sports Network) - Former Liberty University football star linebacker Manny Rojas has joined the Flames' coaching staff as both a defensive and special teams assistant. Rojas ranks third in Big South Conference history with 348 tackles. As a senior in 2006, Rojas led the team with 102 tackles while it improved by five wins - an FCS-best that season - to finish 6-5 under head coach Danny Rocco. After concluding his stellar four-year career for the Flames, Rojas remained close to the program, working within the athletics department as a member of the strength and conditioning staff.
