Richmond adds Trott and Coleman to coaching staff
Richmond, VA (Sports Network) - University of Richmond football coach Latrell Scott announced the additions of Bob Trott and Roy Coleman to the coaching staff.
Trott will serve as the defensive coordinator, while Coleman will be the director of football operations.
A former Virginia linebackers coach, Trott brings 33 years of coaching experience to the Spiders and re-joins Scott after working with the Cavaliers last season. Scott was the wide receivers coach at Virginia last season.
"Bob is a well-respected coaching veteran at both the pro and college level," said Scott. "He is a valuable addition to our staff and his experience will be a tremendous benefit to both our student-athletes and our staff."
Trott has spent time in the NFL as a defensive assistant for the Browns from 2005-08 and has also worked with the New England Patriots (1993-95) and the New York Giants (1991-92).
Coleman comes to Richmond after working as a system coordinator in the information technology industry and spending nine years in the Navy and Navy reserves.
