"We've still got to get better as a football team, and we've got a long ways to go to get where we want to be as a football program."

With about 12 minutes left until half, James scampered into the end zone from six yards out to cap a 75-yard drive for a comfortable 24-3 margin. Chambers' two-yard touchdown run with about six minutes left in the second gave the Hurricanes a 31-3 lead at the half.
Miami held onto a 28-point margin after each team scored 10 points in the third. The Hurricanes scored on Thearon Collier's 61-yard punt return and Bosher's 33-yarder. The Rattlers got their points off a 34-yard Scott field goal and a Pulley 26-yard TD run.
